In 2011, quadriplegic sailor and former ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ South sports personality of the year Geoff Holt MBE launched his Wetwheels project at the Southampton Boat Show The aim was to allow people with complex needs, the opportunity to experience what it would be like to travel at speed on the water. 10 years on, the charity now has 6 vessels, based in Kent, Devon, York, Jersey and in the Solent. The success of the project has far exceeded Geoff’s expectations, and more boats are planned. Geoff’s been talking to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Solent’s Neil Sackley for the H2O podcast.
