Cancer and the Menopause: Claire and Alison

Claire Carter on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Somerset

Available for over a year

On this clip our guests talk about when the menopause is brought on and in some case it can be years early because of cancer treatment. Alison is 42-years-old and from Bath and has just completed treatment for breast cancer. Claire is 53-years-old and lives in Coleford. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003. She says she was plunged into the menopause when she had a hysterectomy just over 10 years ago. They've both been supported by We Hear You, a charity based in Frome, which provides emotional support to people across Somerset and Bath and North East Somerset affected by cancer and other life threatening conditions.
