Olympic gold medallist Karlis Lasmanis sank the match winning two pointer to secure the Olympic title for Latvia in one of Tokyo 2020’s new sports, basketball 3x3. His life could have been very different though, as Sportsworld’s Lee James found out, Lasmanis use to work in a port back in Latvia before a sudden career change.
