Trying to work during Kolkata's Durga Puja festival

Big Boss Interview

Available for over a year

This is the beginning of India’s biggest festive seasons with festivals like Navaratri and Dussehra all the way to Diwali, the festival of lights in about a month’s time. But what does it mean to try and work during the Puja when millions are out on the streets partying till dawn? Our workplace commentator Sandip Roy has more. "The combination of prayers being broadcast, beating drums and songs creates a sort of sonic boom. With people partying on the streets till dawn, it's hard to get anything done during Puja. It's basically a city of 14 million plus in celebration mode." (Photo: People celebrating during Durga Puja in India Credit: Getty Images)
