Children in Need: Mentoring sessions help 'engage' young people from disadvantaged backgrounds

Make a Difference: Leicester

Available for over a year

Children in Need is upon us, and we’ve already done our fundraiser with the Big Fancy Dress Singalong. But we still need your donations. The charity helps support young people across the UK, every single day, and 48 charities locally benefitted from a share of over £2.7m in the last year alone. Soft Touch Arts in Leicester runs an employability programme, providing mentoring and work experience to 15-24 year olds from disadvantaged backgrounds. Sophie Cook caught up with one of their sessions.
