Somerset Care celebrates its 30th anniversary

Matt Faulkner

Available for over a year

Somerset Care is celebrating its 30th anniversary. In 1991 Somerset County Council became one of the first authorities to outsource its care homes. We've heard from the company's chief executive, a carer who has been with the company since it started and the family whose relatives are cared for by the organisation. 90-year-old Ken lives at Calway House in Taunton and used to travel the world when he was a cosmetics chemist. Ken and the home's activities coordinator Sherry has been speaking to our reporter Ross Pollard.
