Enderby Brass Band needing new home after their building deemed too unsafe to return to

Jimmy Carpenter

Available for over a year

For 150 years Enderby Brass Band has brought Christmas cheer to countless festivities across Leicestershire. Now the band needs your help. The 130 strong group find themselves thrown out of the building they own because it's on a former tip and there are dangerous levels of methane underneath. It's actually next to Huncote Leisure Centre which has also closed because of the methane levels. Whilst the Leisure Centre should be able to return, the brass band will never be able to return because the foundations of its building aren't deep enough. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Leicester's Helen McCarthy met up with the band at the Enderby Christmas lights switch-on.
