A quieter Christmas for bars and restaurants

Paul Salt

Available for over a year

Although tighter restrictions weren't brought in over the Christmas and New Year period, a high level of Covid cases, and people choosing to take extra precautions themselves, meant many of us still didn't celebrate the way we might normally would have. With two long bank holiday weekends back to back, these should have been the busiest nights of the year for bars and restaurants. But after a good start to December, how did the rest of the month pan out? John Hughes is CEO of Liverpool Nightlife CIC.
