Mum's still struggling with a painful bed sore, but - to Andrew's relief - a district nurse visits

Andrew Edwards

Available for over a year

Mum's had a painful bed sore for several weeks now. Because she can't move under her own steam and is incontinent, it's not healing quickly. To complicate matters, Carolyn needs to be in bed for a nurse to examine her, but - during the day - the carers winch her into a reclining chair. Andrew is relieved when he manages to arrange a visit from a district nurse while he's there. He also sees Mum's care supervisor for her annual review and talks of his delight with the care she receives. Mum and Me: The Dementia Diary was originally broadcast on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Leeds.
