Liverpool businesses lose half a years sales, due to Covid

We know the high streets won't have been as busy as usual last year but new research shows just how damaging Covid restrictions were. Liverpool lost exactly half a year's worth of sales and the amount of empty units rose meaning more than one in 10 is now unoccupied. However, high streets in economically weaker places have been less impacted. Kathrin Enenkel is a Senior Analyst for Centre for Cities who have come up with this research.
