Will the agreements at COP26 lead to significant change?

Paul Salt

Available for over a year

The president of last year's COP26 climate summit in Glasgow, Alok Sharma, is due to give a speech today, discussing the successes of the event and outlining the UK's priorities for the rest of its Presidency. You may remember how he appeared to fight back tears as the Glasgow Climate Pact was agreed by delegates last autumn. The summit was seen as crucial way forward, if climate change is to be brought under control. Almost 200 countries have been asked for their plans to cut emissions, and it could lead to major changes to our everyday lives. Cllr Tom Crone is the Group Leader for the Green Party.
