Coventry's striking bin lorry drivers call for a new deal

CWR Breakfast with Phil Upton

Available for over a year

Four bin lorry drivers in Coventry have been talking about why they're taking industrial action. Industrial action by Unite union members has been ongoing since December, but this week sees full walk-outs until the end of March. The union is calling for "fair pay" for drivers, while the council says it is one of the highest-paying local authorities in the West Midlands. Both sides have recently met at independent arbitration service Acas. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CWR reporter Rosie Eaton has been hearing their stories.
