Everton in the Community is to build a brand new mental health facility, after planning was approved by Liverpool City Council. The People’s Place is being purpose-built to provide an extensive range of activities to improve mental health and promote suicide prevention. The organisation say there's more need than ever for a place like this, as the after-effects of Covid and the numerous lockdowns have increased many of the associated risk factors for poor mental health and suicide.
