A woman from Cumbria is raising money for a cancer charity, by training as a jockey for a one-off race. Morgan Prescott from Temple Sowerby near Penrith, will compete in the Ernest Cooper Macmillan ‘Ride of their Lives’ race on the 11th of June at York racecourse. She hopes her sponsorship money will make a positive difference for people living with cancer and their families.
