Over the weekend, Essex Police spent at least three days dismantling a cannabis farm containing 900 plants at an industrial unit in Witham. Before that haul had been discovered, officers had already seized over £1.25 million worth of cannabis plants and resin so far this year. Campaigners who want to see it legalised, say it's a safer alternative to painkillers, it can net the government billions of pounds in tax each year and create huge savings for the police. Those against say it can cause mental health problems. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Essex speaks to Gregory Land from Harwich, who's a director at Viridis Agrotech which is a consultancy business working in the legal cannabis sector, Marjorie Wallace who is chief executive of the mental health charity SANE, and David Bright who's a retired commander of the crime operations division at Essex Police.
