In November, Giulia Kapp, agreed to provide an emergency bed for the night for her daughter's friend. 7 months on and the girl, now 14, still doesn't have a permanent foster home and faces a move away from her friends and school in Guildford... to foster families on the Isle Of Wight or Sussex coast. Surrey County Council, who run the Foster Care service say "We don’t underestimate the challenges that foster carers face and we offer a strong carer support network and are working with are foster carers to build and improve on this". “Unfortunately, we are still in urgent need of foster carers in Surrey and sometimes that means children are placed in care away from their local community."
