The Prime Minister Boris Johnson has survived a vote of no confidence, and will remain as the PM and the Conservative Party Leader. Most MPs in Essex supported him, although Clacton MP Giles Watling and Basildon and Billericay MP John Baron both voted against Mr Johnson. All 359 Conservative MPs who could vote did, with 211 supporting the Prime Minister, and 148 against. As a result of last night's vote, a vote of no confidence can't be triggered for another year - meaning Mr Johnson's position cannot be challenged. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Essex speaks to Giles Watling, Conservative MP for Clacton.
