A third-generation Ford designer from Basildon has created a brand new invention on display at the Design Museum in London. Paul Campbell created a self-balancing, two-wheeled wheelchair called The Centaur in memory of his father after watching him struggle to do everyday tasks in his old age. Things like making a cup of tea, from his traditional four-wheeled wheelchair became difficult so Paul took it upon himself to find a solution.
