Andy Street thinks the project could support about 1,000 jobs over the next five years. The Conservative mayor for the West Midlands says the interchange station serving the high-speed rail network would be "transformational" for the region's economy. It's being built near the NEC and the M6. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CWR reporter Richard Williams have been talking to Andy Street on the site of the work.
