Available for over a year

Nelson Mandela’s release in 1990, after 27 years in jail, marked a momentous change for the entire country of South Africa. It led to the end of apartheid and the first multi-racial elections in South African history. Mandela swept to victory in those elections. Four days after his release, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ World Service programme Saturdays Only marked the occasion with a special interview recorded at Nelson Mandela’s home in Soweto.
