Fans are celebrating the appearance of Scooby Doo character Velma Dinkley in the upcoming 'Trick or Treat' movie in which she appears to have a female love interest. Scooby Doo film creator James Dunn, who produced the 2002 live-action film, confirmed that he originally wrote Velma as a lesbian before having to change it. Since then, Velma's sexuality has been a fierce topic of debate. So how do fans feel about this? "People don't realise how important representation is," says Trinity, a fan from Canada. "It meant a lot to me."
