The Ukrainian army says it has made major gains over the last day around Kherson, after Russia's defence ministry announced it has completed the withdrawal of troops from the key city. One story that has emerged from the region is that of a Ukrainian nurse who was allegedly hanged to death by Russian forces in the Kherson region during occupation. Retired nurse Tetyana Mudryenko told Russian occupiers that her city of Skadovsk was in fact Ukrainian, and not Russian. She was detained, and according to a witness taken into the streets by pro-Moscow authorities and hanged in a public execution. Her death certificate reported the death was due to "mechanical asphyxiation". The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ hasn't been able to independently verify how Tetyana died, but her sister Natalia Chorna spoke to Newsday: "The police came to their home in the evening, Tetyana was loudly protesting, they turned their house upside down, took their car and arrested them."
