Yarmin Rasmie

Stories in Scots

Available for over a year

Rasmie the lamb feels safe with his mum and his best friends in their small field inside the fence. In the next field he can see delicious buttercups, and a sparkling burn running with lovely cool water. His two best friends can’t wait for the farmer to open the gate and let them out, but Rasmie feels afraid. The barking sheepdog and the big hill are too scary for him. When the gate is finally opened, his mum tells him to be brave, but will he be able to pluck up enough courage to go out and explore? Written and narrated by Valerie Watt, in Shetland dialect.
