Senegal has made it into the World Cup's knockout stages for only the second time in their history after they eliminated Ecuador at a rowdy Khalifa International Stadium. Much has been made of the absence of Senegal's star player Sadio Mane from this tournament through injury but they have found goals from elsewhere, their five so far in Qatar all coming from different players. They are only the third African nation to reach the knockout stages on two or more occasions, emulating Nigeria and Ghana. We spoke to fans in Qatar after the team's win. "If we can do it, anyone [in Africa] can" said one of them. (Photo: Senegal fans cheer during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Group A match between Ecuador and Senegal. Credit: Getty Images)
