“It can be… like a battlefield going out to walk your dog”

Andy Twigge

Available for over a year

A 13-year-old dog was almost killed after being attacked by a German Shepherd in Waingroves but Derbyshire Police said no action was taken because no offence had been committed. The Dangerous Dogs Act states it’s a criminal offence if a dog attacks a person or an assistance dog, but it doesn’t extend to pet dogs or other animals. The dog’s owner, Angie Mortimer from Horsley Woodhouse, wants to see the law change. Dog training instructor Claire Lawrence agrees, she’s been speaking to ѿý Radio Derby’s Andy Twigge.
