The cost of living crisis is prompting more of us to buy pre-loved fashion. Social shopping app Depop says it had seen a rise in people shopping second-hand. A survey it conducted found 44% of 18-to-35 year olds in the UK were buying more clothing now than they did last year. Some 53% said that in the face of the cost-of-living crisis, they had been turning to second-hand shopping as a way of saving money. Those who bought second hand estimated they were saving up to 25% per item. Kyla Ching is a store manager of a Leicester charity shop specialising in vintage and retro clothing - she tells Khush Sameja that she's seen an increase in customers looking for pre-loved items.
