The new 'Beast of Bodmin' sparks 999 alert

James Dundon

Available for over a year

A man suffered a nasty cut to his finger as he posted a letter in Bodmin. Thinking he had been slashed by a knife or broken glass, he called 999. Police Inspector Regie Butler-Card confirmed Armed Response units were put on standby but the first unit on scene confirmed the man had been scratched by a cat who had been lurking behind the door.
