The police say that 47 people have been charged since stalking legislation was introduced in Northern Ireland a year ago, while 88 have been arrested. The Protection from Stalking Act was pushed through Stormont shortly before it's collapse and categorises the crime as when a victim is made to feel fear, distress or threat on two or more occasions.
