'Leicester stories of hope is really about shining a light on the good stuff'

Summaya Mughal

Available for over a year

Two Mums from Leicester have teamed up to create a safe space for discussion in response to the tensions that took place in the city last year between small sections of the Muslim and Hindu communities. Rabiha Hannan, of New Horizons in British Islam, and Nima Suchak, of ISKCON Leicester, created 'Leicester Stories of Hope' - which aims to give local women the chance to help the city 'back to the decades of neighbourliness'. It first started as a social media campaign, which helped to share positive stories about the communities they live in. Rabiha and Nima explain to Summaya Mughal how their idea has evolved since then.
