"Why should ordinary people not have things of beauty?"

Robert Elms

Available for over a year

Activist and artist Diana Foster discovered the missing Arts & Crafts finials designed for the washing line poles of the St Pancras estate in the 1930s. The Gilbert Bayes works of art went missing over the years until Diana spotted them for sale in the US and set out to raise enough money to buy them back for The Peoples' Museum in Somers Town. She says it's important for the area to reclaim its public art.
