'We loved Oadby, we loved Leicester'

Shruti Chauhan

Available for over a year

Jag Kaur Takhar has many feathers to her hat, a multilingual realtor, a cancer survivor, an author, above all a single mother to her two boys. Following her husband's dreams, the family relocated from Oadby in Leicester to Canada to start a new life. But things didn't turn out as expected when her husband passed away. Jag was diagnosed with cancer a few years after the death of her husband. But Jag refused to see her breast cancer diagnosis as a death sentence, and instead took a positive stance to begin sharing her knowledge, and break the taboo in her community of talking about breast cancer.
