What is happening with Southport Pier?

Available for over a year

When you head to the seaside in Southport, you expect to see certain sights don't you. Sea, sand, beautiful parks, arcades and games, but there's something visitors haven't been able to do this year, and that's walk along the Pier. That's because it's been closed since December after Sefton Council say it was damaged by ice. So it's been a miss for visitors but it's been near catastrophic for one of the business owners there. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Merseyside's Phil Munns went to meet Colin Jamieson who owns the Southport Pier Pavilion, the café, and arcade.
