Ben Jackson on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Leicester

Available for over a year

Saffron Acres Project is a community food growing and environmental project which started in 2006. It's an award-winning open space in the centre of the Saffron Lane estate, managed by Saffron Lane Neighbourhood Council for the benefit of local people. It's a site that extends to over 14 acres and at its core helps people from all walks of life and with all kinds of needs with their wellbeing. And now they're doing something else to help people by opening a drop in cafe to help people with pretty much whatever they need. Ben Jackson went along to see for himself and meet the volunteers.
