Beatles: George Harrison's mum 'disgusted' by screaming fans

Available for over a year

Fans screaming at Beatles concerts were so loud that the band often couldn't hear themselves play. It got so bad it was one of the reasons the group decided to stop touring. And it wasn't just the Fab Four who got fed up. George Harrison's mum wrote in a letter to a fan that she was "really ashamed" to be a woman after she witnessed the behaviour of teenage girls at a concert. It's one of 25 letters by Louise Harrison now being auctioned. Stephen Bailey is from The Beatles Shop and told Giulia Bold a bit more about these letters
