Laura Wolvaardt: "We definitely need a women’s SA20 League in the next two years"

Stumped

Available for over a year

South Africa’s interim captain Laura Wolvaardt says she would welcome the introduction of a women’s SA20 league in the country to grow the game. Wolvaardt told Stumped’s Alison Mitchell that she believes the way the Women’s Big Bash League has developed in Australia is a perfect example of how integrating with the men’s league can benefit the women’s game and help players have more regular competitive cricket. In February this year Sunrisers Eastern Cape won the inaugural men’s SA20 league.
