Prom Wardrobe 'overwhelmed' by number of donations

Ady Dayman

Available for over a year

Staff at Welland Park Academy in Market Harborough have set up a 'Prom Wardrobe', with a commitment to making sure that no teenager is priced out of heading to their end-of-school prom. After just two months they've had a remarkable response, receiving hundreds of items including 154 dresses, 15 suits, 16 pairs of shoes, 8 bags, 23 ties, jewellery and even a steamer. Nikki Burgess from Welland Park Academy joined Ady along with Kibworth based opera singer Stephanie Edwards who donated some of her dresses to the 'Eco Wardrobe'.
