A Royal Navy veteran from St Neots has been recognised for his part in nuclear tests that were carried out near Christmas Island in the Pacific - 65 years ago. John Gibbs witnessed four nuclear explosions as a young soldier in 1958. Three weeks ago, at the age of 87, he got his Ministry of Defence Nuclear Test medal in the post.
