Thousands of people took to the streets of Leicester last night for the big Diwali lights switch-on. It was the 40th anniversary of one of the world's biggest celebrations around Belgrave Road which culminated in a huge firework display. Tens of thousands were there enjoying the food, the atmosphere and of course the lights and fireworks. This was the story of the night.
