George Harrison’s Henley house and the new Beatles song

Available for over a year

A new – “final” – song has been released from The Beatles. Now & Then started life as a demo recorded by John Lennon – the cassette tape was then passed to Paul, Ringo and George in the nineties, where they attempted to “finish” the song. George Harrison recorded new guitar parts at his recording studio at Friar Park, his house in Henley-on-Thames, but the sessions were shelved as the quality of the original cassette was deemed unusable. Now – AI technology has cleaned up John’s original demo, George’s guitar lines recorded in the nineties were dusted off and “brand new” Beatles music has been released. Beatles expert Ken McNab shares information on the little bit of Henley in the new Beatles song – and some of the incredible musical moments that happened in Friar Park. Photo credit: Getty Images
