Lydd homes flooded with sewage

Available for over a year

Residents in the Copperfields area of Lydd say they've had sewage problems for more than ten years with local drains now overflowing for almost a month. Southern Water say heavy rainfall has meant the pumping station is struggling to keep up. The company has provided temporary showers and toilets on the street but homeowners say older people can't use them and the situation is becoming untenable.  Local resident Michael Taylor, spoke to Anna Cookson about what life has been like and his fears Photo Credit: Michael Taylor
