Post Office scandal TV drama "shows how evil they were"

Available for over a year

A new ITV drama - "Mr Bates vs the Post Office" - tells the story of what is thought to be one of the biggest miscarriages of justice the UK has ever seen, when sub-postmasters were accused of stealing thousands of pounds. More than 700 sub-postmasters were convicted of theft after the faulty accounting system Horizon showed money was going missing around the UK - Jo Hamilton, from South Warnborough near Basingstoke, was one of them. A Post Office spokesperson says they're "deeply sorry" and are doing all they can to right the wrongs of the past. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Berkshire's Sarah Walker speaks to Jo Hamilton about her experience of being prosecuted - and how it feels to see her legal fight highlighted in a TV drama.
