Pontins in Southport has closed with immediate effect. It's the end of an era. Pontins, which was once a staple of British holidaying, has closed its door on its Southport site. After hosting New Year's Eve parties for families, the closure came as a shock and was reportedly due to flooding caused by Storm Henk. Reflecting on their holiday history, Pontins said farewell and that closure had now been made permanent.
