Hidden Essex: Kindertransport

Available for over a year

From December 1938 to the outbreak of war in September 1939, thousands of children travelled through Harwich as they found sanctuary from Nazi persecution in Europe. A new film, One Life, tells the story of Kindertransport and the man who arranged it, Sir Nicholas Winton. Sue Daish from the Harwich Kindertransport Memorial and Learning Trust explains how the people of the Essex town came out to help those children.
