Hatton's Model Railways has announced its closure after being open for 77 years. The business, which was based on Smithdown Road until 2016, when it moved to Montague Road in Widnes, is one of the industry's oldest and most well-known retailers. Founded in 1946, Hatton's Model Railways was a cornerstone in the model railway hobby field.
