The Trelion Solar Farm proposal is dividing opinions

James Churchfield

Available for over a year

The company behind the plans, EDF Renewables, says the 47.5 MW solar farm will generate enough power for 9,500 homes. But some local people say it's too big and is the wrong use of valuable agricultural land. They also point out there are a number of solar farms in the area already. EDF Renewables says it will deliver a biodiversity net gain and they will put money in a community fund to be spent locally.
