EXCLUSIVE: PM challenged over RAF Scampton plans

Available for over a year

The Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak insists he 'absolutely understands the concerns of local communities' over plans to house asylum seekers at the former RAF Scampton site. The government's proposals have led to a £300m local redevelopment plan for the historic RAF station being put on hold and raised concerns over safety and local services. But speaking on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Lincolnshire's breakfast show, Mr. Sunak said it would be a temporary measure and necessary to tackle illegal migration.
