Reading Gaol: "it's not becoming flats", says new owner

Available for over a year

In January 2024 - ten years after the last inmate left Reading Gaol - it was announced that the former prison that once held Oscar Wilde had been sold to the Ziran Education Foundation. Not much was known about the foundation at the time - and very little has been said about the site's future plans until now. In the organisation's first interview since the purchase, Eric Sun from the Ziran Education Foundation talks to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Berkshire's Kirsten O'Brien.
