Celebrating football and Ramadan in Banbury

Banbury's Madhi Masjid mosque has been the centre of not only Ramadan prayer and festivities, but also a celebration of Football in the holy month for Islam. In conjunction with the Oxfordshire FA, it has been a chance for members of the Muslim community to come and see what opportunities there are within football. Whether that be playing, coaching, refereeing or volunteering with themselves or one of their partner organisations, such as Oxford United in the Community. Carla Buckingham has been to find out what its like to combine football with Ramadan.
