Bury archaeological dig uncovers Saxon artefacts
Available for over a year
Hopkins ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½s are planning to build 350 homes at a site in Bury St Edmunds but before building work can take place an archaeological survey has to be conducted, and it has turned up a wealth of Bronze Age and Anglo Saxon items. Louise Moan is the Project Manager of the dig, carried out by Oxford Archaeology, and she spoke to Wayne Bavin about some of the artefacts they have found and what they indicate about the lives of those that lived in the area centuries ago.
