Costing more than £35m, it's hoped the site will attract 300,000 visitors per year, and play a starring role in next year's 200th anniversary of the opening of the Stockton & Darlington Railway. Mike Crawshaw at Darlington Borough Council told our reporter Antony Collins they are "on track" for opening this Summer.
